We have different trails to explore for a week from our trekking base. Stay in any of the near by accommodation and enjoy this stunning area for days on end. Riders receive a $20.00 discount per night for staying at Pokaka log house.

Our own Log Home, Pokaka, is used for our Riding Weekends and we often use it ourselves. We let it out from time to time. Email Kate to make a booking. We give a discount to Horse Riders! Log Homes are available for reasonable rates in the Mt Lyford Village. Phone or email Kate for details. |

The new Mount Lyford Lodge is situated directly opposite the Horse Treks. Here you can enjoy the bar, restaurant, pool table petanque, or relax in a spa pool with the view of Mt Lyford to revive your riding muscles. Self contained units, and backpackers accommodation are available. |

Not far from Mt. Lyford Horse Treks is The Gates. The Lodge was redesigned in 2001 to provide modern amenities in a luxurious setting. |
Activities
In the winter skiing and snowboarding are popular at Mt. Lyford. Horse trekking is always an option when the weather is not right for skiing!
The area lends itself to walks all year around and there are a variety of tramps, both on and off the beaten track. Walter Logeman has put up a maps and information about some local walks.
